The Mobridge-Pollock School District will be hosting a professional development day for all certified teachers, principals, and para professionals on September 22nd. The focus of the professional development will be on training staff members on Applied Suicide Intervention Skills. Julie Moore from Avera will be hosting the training.
Staff members will learn how to do the following:
- Identify people who have thoughts of suicide.
- Understand the reason for thoughts of suicide.
- Develop a plan to increase safety from suicidal behavior.
